SweetMeet Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17.10.2026

This page explains how dating app cookies and similar technologies work on SweetMeet, why we use them, which categories exist, and how to manage your choices. It is written to support your online dating privacy.

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small file stored on your device that saves information such as your language selection. Cookies used in the SweetMeet app are not designed to store details like your name or address. Several related technologies work in similar ways:

  • Local storage keeps small pieces of data in your browser or app so settings can be remembered.
  • Pixels are tiny images that record whether a page or message was viewed.
  • SDKs are code libraries inside a mobile app that handle tasks such as analytics or ad delivery.
  • Device identifiers are codes your phone assigns, such as an advertising identifier, that you can reset in your settings.

First-party cookies are set by SweetMeet. Third-party cookies are set by service providers. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser or app, while persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

How SweetMeet uses them

We use cookies and similar technologies to track how people interact with the app and website, so we can improve usability and performance. In practice, that means:

  • keeping you signed in and protecting your account;
  • remembering preferences such as language;
  • understanding which features people use;
  • measuring and, where permitted, personalizing advertising.

Information collected this way may be combined with other data described in our dating app Privacy Policy.

Cookie categories

Strictly necessary

These cookies enable basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas. In the app, they are strictly required to provide the services you ask for. On the website they include a cookie that stores your consent choice and one used by a content network to identify trusted web traffic. They do not require consent where the law treats them as essential.

Authentication and security

Authentication cookies are persistent cookies that let you log in automatically, so you do not need to enter your details every time you open SweetMeet. They also help protect your account from unauthorized access. If you block them, you may need to sign in repeatedly or may not be able to sign in at all.

Analytics

Analytics cookies help us understand how the Service is used so we can customize and improve it. We use providers such as Google Analytics, AppMetrica and AppsFlyer, and other third-party providers may monitor and analyze usage as well. Where required, we ask for your consent before using analytics cookies.

Advertising

Advertising cookies make ads more relevant. They help prevent the same ad from appearing repeatedly, make sure ads display correctly, select ads based on your interests, and measure impressions and clicks. Where required, we ask for your consent first. Providers are listed in the table below.

Social networking

Social networking cookies support features such as signing in through a social account or sharing content. The social platform involved may set its own cookies and receive information about your activity. These cookies are optional where the law requires consent, and the platform’s own policy also applies.

Managing cookies and device identifiers

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block, limit or delete cookies. Check the help section of your browser for steps.
  • Clearing data: deleting cookies and site data removes stored preferences, and you may need to set them again.
  • Android: open your device settings, find the privacy or Google ads section, and reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization.
  • iOS: open Settings, go to Privacy & Security, and review tracking and Apple advertising options.

Blocking necessary or authentication cookies may break sign-in and other core features. Resetting your device identifier does not remove ads, but it can make them less tailored to your past activity.

Opting out of interest-based advertising

We use remarketing to advertise on third-party websites after you have visited the Service. We and our vendors use cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits. Opting out does not stop all advertising, only ads tailored to your interests. You can opt out through:

  • Google Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads) for Google Advertising;
  • the ad preferences in your Facebook account;
  • the Digital Advertising Alliance in the United States;
  • the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada;
  • the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance in Europe;
  • the advertising settings on your mobile device.

Each service has its own process, so you may need to opt out separately in each place.

Updates to this cookie policy

We may update this policy as our technologies, providers or legal requirements change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Please check back from time to time. You can also review our Terms & Conditions.
